PICP (Partners In Crime Prevention) is a Learning Partnership funded through the EU Grundtvig program. Seven partners from all over Europe, all involved in working in prisons, exchange ideas on how the arts can provide tools for inmates to develop life skills. The idea is to develop strategies that lead to disistance, how how can art programms help people to make other choices in their lifes.
During six international meeting, that take place in the partners countries, artists, leading criminologists, experts in education and ex-prisoners discuss new ideas and strategies. One of the aims is to develop a manual on how to use the arts in prisons. The partners come from Poland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Ireland and the UK. C&C is the coordinator of this project.
